
Shirley Temple was born in Santa Monica, California. She starred in
over 40 films. She started her career at age three in the 1930’s
and retired in 1949 making apearances in the 1950's and 60's.

Some the highlights of her career include receiving Screen Actors
Guild Lifetime Achievement Award and being the youngest actor to receive
the Juvenile Performer Academy Award in 1935 at age 5. She also worked
with Mr. Bill “Bojangles” Robinson who choreography for
many of her other films.

name.
Shirley Temple Black also worked as American ambassador to Ghana (1974–76)
and ambassador to Czechoslovakia (1989–92). In 1987 she was designated
the first Honorary Foreign Service Officer in US history by then US
Secretary of State, George Schultz.
